if youve used plant nutrients on cannabis fertilizers, youve come across the three numbers with dashes; these are macronutrient ratios, nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium.

a good example is bat guano 7-5-3

the first is nitrogen, nitrogen is responsible for keeping plants green, and helps plant growth. this macronutrient is important for the initial 2-3 weeks of vegetable growth, and aids in the growth of the plant during the initial stage

the second is phosphorus, phosphorus is responsible for flowers and buds, at around week 2 of budding, the plant would use phosphorus to increase total marijuana flower, leading to bigger buds. organic marijuana is usually somewhat stronger, and has a stronger scent

the third is potassium, which is for water regulation, i believe between the first two numbers it regulates water regulation in a plant. this isnt important but you shouldnt add high potassium nutrients to an organic plant or you’ll get a deficiency

too much or too little can lead to a toxicity or a deficiency, meaning without major care, you’ll yeild significantly less then a healthy plant

the two exceptions ive found is earthworm castings and humic acids, earthworm castings are the sheddings of earthworms and are high in nitrogen and organic materials, which make for a delicate ecosystem which feeds a plants roots. organic marijuana, or marijuana grown organically relies on bacteria in the soil to feed marijuana plants.

humic acids are made from composted goods, and can vastly benefit your plants.

so if you have a few flowers in your backyard, like flowers with petals, try to give them some high phosphorus nutrients, or if you have a plant with alot of green leaves in your backyard, give them some nitrogen based fertilizer and they should grow alot larger
